Back Education Programs
This is a course specifically designed for people with back or neck pain, or for those who wish to avoid it.
The course consists of three weekly, one-hour classes.
The classes are designed for the non-medical person and teach a basic understanding of the spine and of the structures surroundingthe spine, as well as frequent causes of back/neck problems, common disorders of the back, treatment and back care.
Each of the three classes will include discussion of the topic followed by the opportunity for each of the participants to practice the concepts discussed.
Each participant will receive a certificate of completion at the close of the last class.

Examining and evaluating patients with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations and disability or other health-related conditions in order to determine a physical therapy diagnosis, prognosis, and planned therapeutic intervention.
Therapeutic interventions may include therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy (soft tissue and joint manipulation and mobilization), therapeutic massage and physical agents (such as ultrasound, hot/cold packs, and electrical stimulation).
